HID OMNIKEY 5427 CK Gen2 is a contactless reader designed for companies, system integrators and IT departments that need flexible and reliable management of NFC and RFID credentials. Its dual-frequency support allows 13.56 MHz HF and 125 kHz LF technologies to be used through a single device, simplifying integration in infrastructures with different generations of badges and smart cards.
With CCID and Keyboard Wedge operating modes, the reader can work with native operating system drivers or transfer credential data directly into existing applications through keyboard emulation. This makes it useful for secure login, operator identification, traceability, process automation and access management workflows.
The Bluetooth Low Energy version supports HID Mobile Access, enabling mobile credentials for access to computers, networks, data and cloud services. The device also includes web-based configuration tools and lifecycle management features for easier updates and long-term administration.
